Library Card

Target Age:

Late Four-Year Old

What To Do:

If your child is able to write his/her name, it may be time to apply for a library card. Set up a time to meet with your librarian, and after the requirements and responsibilities are explained, see if your child thinks he/she is ready. Keeping track of the card, caring for the books your child chooses, and checking out provides a wonderful exercise in responsibility and independence.
