Flour Scooping
Target Age:
Early Three-Year Old
Materials You Will Need:
two bowls, scoop or large spoon, measuring cups, flour
What To Do:
Children love to help you in the kitchen! This activity will provide an opportunity to develop fine motor skills as well as eye/hand coordination. Place two bowls side by side. Fill one halfway with flour. Show your child how to hold a measuring cup with one hand and fill it with flour using the scoop in the other hand. (Leveling the flour isn't important at this point.) Let your child empty the cup of flour into the other bowl. Repeat the activity as long as your child is interested.
